It's Sunday... and it seems as good as any time to make a super fun announcement that I'm sure got lost in my busy feed.

Ready for a crazy journey story, and one of passion, purpose and perseverance? 

Here we go (I'm taking a HUGE deep breath here and am excited and super nervous, you know that belly feel? I've got that down).

I am excited to share a song- that my mother wrote back in 1986 when she found out she was pregnant at the age of 38 with her last child, my brother Joshua. Yes, it's not a typo, since 1986 this song has been waiting to get out to the world. It is a song of faith and hope.

When I became pregnant (at 47) and had my child (at 48), I sang this song to her all the time on our road trips back and forth from Millbrae to our new home in Reno. I recorded it on my iphone so i didn't have to sing it and she could just listen. I sang this song to her every night as I rocked her to sleep.

This song that my mother wrote was from her heart and I sang it to my child from mine. Audriana came to know that song and sing it. We even sung it and sent it to my sister Bridget during one of many times she was in the hospital as we prayed that God would provide us an answer.

When I would sing it to Audriana, I went on a mental quest of trying to figure out how to have arranged for music and played by someone for about 4 years. I had a vision for it. But I was unsuccessful in finding someone and in my head I was still unwilling to give up. I let it go. I did not want to force this. 

After my sister passed away last year, I was working on a story for the magazine I write for and the story was about the ministry of music.  I interviewed Nina Weaver for the story, she had just released a CD herself. Afterwards my heart spoke to me to ask her if she could help me. Having just come back from a month in Ohio after my sister's passing, I shared  the story of this song and how I wanted to have it produced for my mother, believing this song that had gotten me through many difficult times as an adult, could be a song of faith and hope for children and families. I also thought it could help to heal my mother and my family's shattered hearts from the loss of my sister. Nina agreed to help me and arranged the music. The song came to life as I shared it with my mom, we were both in tears. I rehearsed with Nina a few times in our church (and then me on my own a lot of times at home) and Nina connected me with a local producer, Michael Eardley at Tanglewood Productions in Reno. We set a date and we recorded the song on June 16, 2023.

When my mom was here in July, my dear friend Diana McNeill took pictures of me and my mom for what would was intended to be our cover for the CD for the song. 

The song came to life during all of this, and I submitted for global release. And soooooo here we are... 

This is my mother's song. I sing it in honor of her and in the hopes that it reaches open ears, warms hearts and shares a beacon of light shining through a lot of the darkness we face.

I hope you enjoy it and share it with anyone you know that might embrace it. 

Thank you, mom for inspiring me to sing and to write, but most importantly, for teaching me that God is the Answer. I know that to be true.

If you ever think of something to be impossible, it will be. But if you pursue it with love and grace in your heart, I believe God will show the answers you seek.

I have centralized all the links for the song on my website. This and my book are two of the biggest, most impactful works of marketing, passion, purpose and perseverance I have ever done in my 30 year career. I am forever grateful, that my Mom wanted to collaborate with me on this. What a dream come true for both of us. My mom, the writer. She was just as fearful to do this as I was, but we both shut that down. She thought she was too old to share her dreams and pursue them, but I shut that down.
